Section 1. The Bible
The Bible, the sixty-six books the Old and New Testaments, is a revelation from God to man.
The original autographs were inspired by the Holy Spirit and are without error. The inspired Word of
God is the infallible word of faith and conduct. (2 Tim 3:15-17, Heb 4:12, 2Peter 1:20-21).
Section 2. God
There is One God, creator of all things infinitely perfect and eternally self-existent and
Self-revealed in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and yet one God
(Is 9:6, 43:10, Matt 28:19, Jn 1:1, 14:16-17, 2 Cor 3:17, 1Jn 5:7).
Section 3. Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin
Mary. He lived a perfect life and died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the scriptures.
He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High
(Father), He is now our interceding High Priest and Advocate.
(Matt 1:18-25, 25:31-46, Lk 24, Acts 1:9-11, Phil 2:5-8, Col 1:15, 1Thes 4:16-18, Heb 4:14-16,
1Pet 2:24, Rev 11:15-17).
Section 4. The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is one of the three persons of God. He is not the wind or impersonal force.
He is God. He is equal in every way with God the Father and God the Son (Jesus Christ).
The Holy Spirit works to convict people of sin and guide people to all truth, comfort and reveal God to
mankind ( Matt 28:19, Jn 16:7-15, Rom 8:15-16, 2Cor 3:17-18, Phil 1:19, 1Jn 5:7).
Section 5. Man
Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let Us make man in our image, after Our
Likeness”. How ever man fell by voluntary transgression and his only hope of redemption is in
Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Each person is created with a distinct and unchangeable gender,
Either male or female, to reflect the image and nature of God.
Gen 1:26-31, 3:1-7, Rom 5:12-21, 2Pet 1:4)
Section 6: The Salvation of Men
(a) Condition of salvation. The grace of God which brings salvation, has appeared to all men
through the preaching of repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ
Man is saved by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, and being justified by
grace through faith becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life (Lk 24:47, Rom 10:13-
15, Eph 2:8-9, Tim 2:11, 3:5-7)
(b) The evidence of Salvation. The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct
witness of the Spirit (Rom.8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and
true holiness (Rom. 6:22)
Section 7. Baptism in Water
The ordinance of baptism by immersion, signifying burial with Christ and the rising to a new life, shall be
observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have repented and with their hearts have believed
in Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and
have resurrected with Him and walk in newness of life. (Matt.28:19; 3:15-17; Acts 10:47; Rom. 6:4-6)
Section 8. The Lord’s Supper
The Lord Supper, consisting of the bread and the fruit of the vine, is a representation of the body and
blood of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s Supper is taken in remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death and
expectation of His second coming and is entrusted to all believers” until He comes” (Matt. 26:26-29;
Lk.22:17-20; Jn.6:53:58; 1Cor 10:16-17, 11:23-32).
Section 9. Baptism of the Holy Spirit
All believers who ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy
Spirit, according to the word of our Lord Jesus Christ will receive it after salvation. The baptism of the
Holy Spirit in believers’ lives is accompanied with the initial evidence of speaking in new tongues as the
Spirit gives them utterance. This deeper devotion to God (Acts 1:4-8; 2:4, 33-39; 8:13-17; 10:44-48;
11:14-17; 15-7-9;9:1-6). The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a qualification of salvation (Jn.20:22;
Acts8;11-17; 9:17-18; 1 Cor. 14:39-40).
Section 10. Sanctification
The Scriptures command a life of holiness without which no man will see God, “Be ye holy, for I am
holy”. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are to obey the Word of God. Sanctification is the will of God
for all believers and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to the Word of God (Matt.
5:48; Rom. 8:3-4; 2 Cor. 7:11; Thes.5:23-23; Heb. 12-14; 1 Pet. 1:15:16; 1 Jn. 2:5-6).
Section 11. The Church
(a) The church body of Christ with Jesus being the head working through the Holy Spirit, with divine
appointments for the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Each believer born of the Spirit is an
integral part of the general assembly and church of the firstborn which are written in heaven
(Eph.1:22-23; 2:19-22; 5:23-25; Col. 1:18; Heb.12-23)
(b) All believers of the Church are blessed by God with Spiritual gifts and calling for comfort,
edification, building up the body of Christ, and equipping of the saints for the working of the
ministry until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God (Cor.
12:1-11; Eph. 4:11-12)
(c) All believers in the church are to manifest in their spiritual gifts with the help of the Holy Spirit,
to the Glory of God (Zec. 4:6; 1 Cor. 10:31, 12:1-11; Eph. 4:11-12; Col. 3:17).
Section 12. The Great Commission
A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been given to all believers by our Lord for a
twofold purpose: (1) for the evangelization of the world and (2) the edifying and equipping of the body
of Christ (Matt. 28:19-20; Mk. 16:15-20; Lk. 14:23; Acts 10:42-43; Rom. 1:16; Eph. 4:11-13).
Section 13. Divine Healing
Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement through the blood of Jesus Christ and is the
privilege of all believers. We are commanded by Scripture to pray for the healing of the sick (Is. 53:4-5;
Matt. 8:16-17, 10:7-8; Mk. 16:18-20; Jam. 5:14-16).
Section 14. The Blessed Hope
The premillennial second coming of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of those who have died in Christ, and
their transformation with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is imminent and
is the blessed hope of the Church (Rom. 8:23; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; 1 Thes. 4:16-18; Titus 2:13).
Section 15. The Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ
The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of all Israel, and the millennial reign of
Christ on the earth is the Scriptural promise and the world’s hope (Matt. 24-29-30; Rom. 11:25-27: 2
Thes. 1:7-9; Rev. 19:11-16; 20:1-7).
Section 16. The Lake of Fire
The Devil and his angles, the beast and the false prophet and those whose name are not found written
in the Book of Life shall be cast into everlasting punishment—The Lake this burning with the fire and
brimstone—which is the second death (Rev. 19:20, 20:10-15,21:8).
Section 17. Standard of Family Life
(a) Marriage. All marriages shall be between on naturally born man and one naturally born woman
in accordance with the Scriptures. All sexual activity is to occur solely with such marriage. Any
form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual
conduct, incest, the use of pornography and bestiality) is sinful and offense to God. “Marriage is
honorable in all “(Matt. 15:18-20, 19:5-6: Mk. 10:7-9; 1 Cor. 6:9-10, 7:1-40; 2 Cor. 6:14; Eph.
5:22-23; Heb. 13:4).
(b) Divorce. Divorce is not acceptable except as provided in the Scriptures (Mal. 2:15-16; Matt.
19:5-11; Mk. 10:7-12; 1Cor. 6:15-20: 7:10-11, 39).
(c) Children. Children are a blessing from the Lord. Parents are to raise their children in the fear of
the Lord, and children should honor and obey their parents (Ps. 127; Ex. 20-12; Deut. 5:16, 6:6-
9: Eph. 6:1-4).
(d) The Sanctity of Human Life. All human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life
is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically
or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural
death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life (Ps. 139).
Section 19.
The Tenets of Faith do not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible
Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality and the proper conduct of
mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of the GRACE THROUGH FAITH
Church, faith, doctrine, practice, policy and discipline, our Senior Pastor, Church Board, final human,
interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application, which shall not deviate from the already
written Tenets of Faith as stated in the Bylaws and Constitution.
